Nigerian military troops have rescued multiple kidnap victims during a clearance operation in Taraba State. The operation, conducted by personnel of Operation Whirl Stroke, targeted bandits' hideouts in the Gassol Local Government Area. According to military sources, the troops engaged the criminals in a fierce gun battle, forcing them to abandon their victims and flee into the forest. All rescued victims have been reunited with their families and are receiving medical attention. The military recovered weapons and motorcycles from the bandits' camp. The Chief of Defence Staff commended the troops for their professionalism and urged them to sustain the momentum in the fight against banditry and kidnapping.
